Car Testimony
So about 8 months or so ago I started hearing God tell me we needed to give my husbands ex wife one of our cars. Weird I know?! Despite thinking about it on more than a few occasions I blew it off as me just being crazy and emotional. “She’s put herself in this situation by her bad choices and I’m not contributing to that….. humph!” I kept telling myself to justify keeping the car. Plus my husband and I had just talked about getting rid of one of the cars to pay down some bills and get out of this mountain of debt we had from our own past bad choices (HELLO speck in my eye that I had no problem pointing out in others) and we decided it was totally not workable. We lived 20 minutes from town, the kids have to be at 2 different places in the morning, AND we both have to be at work. Plus the pick up from daycare and school on time? It just wouldn’t work. Not to mention my hubby would think I was NUTS to just GIVE her a car after all she’s put him and the kids through. He’d never go for it. Little did I know God was doing a work in his heart too.

Honestly, I have to say that some of the most amazing things that have happened in the last few months is the opportunities that the Lord gave me to share Jesus with my two disciples, one who used to be a drug dealer, and the other who did time for murder. He has just put such a thirst in these two and I have no doubts that He is going to do such amazing things through them. I can’t think of any better way of saying it other than it’s like watching stars being born!
Mary Robinson wants everyone to know how the Lord has blessed her.
Just wanted to let you know how good the Lord is. On Sunday, August the 16th I asked Pastor David and Kim to pray for me because I was taking a step of Faith by trying to get a better job. The Lord blessed me by letting me get a phone call from the lady at Atmos Energy. She was checking to see if I was still interested in working for their company. I told her yes and I am happy to say that I started my new job on the 8th of Sept. The Lord is so awesome and Mighty. He truly has blessed me. Thank you for praying for me.

August 15th 2009 is one of the times God has Wowed me. It was Saturday afternoon the day of Saturday Night Strike. I didn’t go to the Strike because I needed to stay home and lock the pool up at 10pm. It was around 2pm and I decided to have my Quiet Time. I turned on my Praise music and got my GOD’S PROMISES BOOK out and read a verse or two. Then It Happened. GOD WOWED ME! I had gotten to about the 3rd or 4th song on the cd when all of a sudden I looked down and BAM!!!!! MY RIGHT FOOT WAS THE SAME SIZE AS MY LEFT! I was also dancing (which I had not been able to do in about 3 days).
The thing that makes this a Wow is the fact that my right foot has been smaller than my left since birth. My Mom always had to buy two different sizes of shoes for me growing up. We would go to the store and she would buy a size larger for the left and a size smaller for the right. After my feet quit growing my Mom or I would just buy one pair of shoes. Up until the afternoon God went BAM with my foot! I was wearing a 9N or 9W so my left foot would not hurt and my right would stay on.
Getting back to that Saturday afternoon, I had to look at my feet a couple of times to make sure I was not seeing things. I was about to bust and had to call someone and tell them what God had done. At the time this was going on Gene, my husband, was in band practice. I was like, “God I must brag on You! Who can I call?” Only three names came to me at first Joanna, Kimberly, and Jett. I called them and then my Pastor David Booker. It was finally at a time where I could call Gene and my Mom, so I did. All Gene said was (in a calm voice), “I knew He would do it.” After Gene got home and saw my feet he added that we were also going to have to get me new shoes on the 1st.
That night after the Strike and after I had locked the pool, Gene came and picked me up for the Saturday Night Prayer at 10 and I bragged on Jesus even more. It was also confirmed by my pastor that my feet were the same size. God even allowed me to dance in His house that night (something else I had not been able to do in about three days).
Long Story short, it has been 3 days since the 1st and on the first I was able to get two pair of shoes (one tennis shoe -one dress) and BOTH WERE A SIZE 10 REGULAR!

Guess what? Yesterday, at church, I finally remembered to request additional prayer for the arthritis in my hands. At the moment, they still look all weirded-out, but they definitely feel way, way better. I can actually wiggle and bend most of the fingers and I haven’t had to take anything today for pain in my hands– this so works for me! I don’t know if I am being “led” to keep wiggling them periodically as part of completing the healing, or if I am just having fun amusing myself with my new flexibility but ever so often I have to wiggle ‘em to watch them “dance”. I should have done this years ago! You know, I have been intending to request prayer for them for them for a very long time, but I always got distracted and then simply forgot. I would go to church intending to get it taken care of, but then other prayer requests would come up and I would think “Oh that’s terrible” – because, well, most prayer requests deal with something terrible – and I would flat-out forget until I got home and tried to use my fingers. I almost did it again yesterday, because the church was asked to pray for back pain and as I was doing that I was reminded mid-prayer about planning to ask for prayer for my arthritis and I thought, “But right now, we’re praying for back pain. Well, something told me to open my eyes and look around. I could not see the people with back pain anymore as there was this sea of people surrounding them and praying. I thought, “OK, I guess they do have kinda have this covered”. I remembered Pastor Dave saying that if anyone had anything else they needed prayer for, to find him and he would get people to pray over that as well. So I walked to the outer edge of the crowd and started looking out over this sea of people to find him, but I did not see him until I almost ran right into him. Anyway, he grabbed some people and they began to pray over my hands. When I went back to my seat, Matt asked me if they had prayed over my hands and I wiggled my fingers for him. Pretty cool, huh?! So now not only are the migraines are ancient history, but the arthritis is disappearing right before my eyes, and you can be sure allergy and sinus problems are next on my “hit list” – yep, this is going to be a great year! Anyway, I highly recommend this “treatment “ to everyone! It works great and it’s free. And I know so often we put off asking because we think our need may not be as critical as some other issues, but if it is interfering with your daily activities, then it is also keeping you from fulfilling your purpose. Well, lunch is done, back to work.
WOW- God is so good!
